The Gainesville, GA residence Mural painted by Lynne Looney

The GAINESVILLE, GA. RESIDENCE Mural. The mural is painted on the back wall of the grand room with palladium windows overlooking the river. The mural across the back measures approximately 30 ft across and 18 ft high. and it extends on either side about 15 ft. The subject of the mural  is the ruins of an ancient stucco wall...overgrown with ivy, shrubs and weeds that have taken root in the fallen stones. There are large fichus trees in Greek urns on either side of the room. I painted and aged the pedestals and urns to blend with the painting on the walls. The color scheme of the room is earth tones and neutrals with two facing sofas of red leather and oak hardwood floors.
