The Decatur, GA Murals painted by Lynne Looney

 The DECATUR Dr's. OFFICE Mural (took an eternity). This is a full round mural (all walls and ceiling painted)...in the reception area of a Dr's office in Decatur, GA. The room measures approximately 15 ft across and 30 ft long with an 8 ft ceiling. There are two entries to the space...the front and back door. The goal of the mural was to convey a setting of peace and tranquility conducive for healing.. The premise is the patients are "sitting" on the ruins of a terrace overlooking a river view to the east and a country side peak through an ivy covered patio doorway flanked by large terra cotta pots planted with blooming flowers and ivy to the west. The receptionists desk  is a stone topped stacked rock stucco wall with overgrown wildflowers, ivy and succulents. The ceiling is light with clouds peaking through tree tops.
